Bangladesh: More community radio in the offering – Information Minister

DHAKA, April 26, 2016 (BSS) – The government would further expand community radio in order to provide the platform for citizens to raise their voices, especially for the masses at the grassroots, Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu said today. Four Community Radio stations received the highest number of prizes in the Radio Category of the UNICEF Meena Media Awards, 2015

Four community radio stations of the country received 13 awards in the radio category of the Meena Media Award 2015 for their contributions in innovation in media and the protection of child rights in the year 2015. As with every year, UNICEF Bangladesh organized the competition.
